Support Worker

Job Description

Our Support Workers play a vital role in empowering individuals to live independently, safely, and with dignity. You will provide person-centred support to clients in their homes and communities, assisting with daily activities while promoting choice, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

This role is ideal for compassionate, reliable individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care support, including assistance with hygiene, grooming, and mobility
  • Support clients with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands
  • Assist with community access, social activities, and appointments
  • Encourage independence, choice, and participation in everyday activities
  • Follow individual care plans and support goals
  • Observe, document, and report changes in clients’ wellbeing or behaviour
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment at all times
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and care teams
  • Uphold professional boundaries, confidentiality, and duty of care

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or a related field (preferred but not always required)
  • Previous experience in disability support, aged care, or community services is an advantage
  • A genuine passion for helping others and a person-centred approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle (if required for the role)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • National Police Check / Working With Children Check (as applicable)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply)
